Experincing Anxiety

This morning I woke up with a tremendous amount of anxiety. Todays schedule begins with rushing the children off to school and then head over to the attorney's office. Our attorney is taking on a case for something I experienced last year. I believe I have been wronged and a large non profit needs to be corrected for their doing. I do not want to share these things however I will state that I almost lost my life.

It is important that I go and discuss what happened. It is important that I go so changes can be made in my life. It is important to share my story. Its just that it brings up so much that I experienced. It brings up so much pain that I encountered - physically, mentally and emotionally.

The Bible tells me this about Anxiety:

27-29"Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? All this time and money wasted on fashion—do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.

30-33"If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

34"Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. (Matthew 6:28-34, The Message)

16-19 Who stood up for me against the wicked?
Who took my side against evil workers?
If God hadn't been there for me,
I never would have made it.
The minute I said, "I'm slipping, I'm falling,"
your love, God, took hold and held me fast.
When I was upset and beside myself,
you calmed me down and cheered me up. (
Psalm 94:18-19, The Message)

6-7Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. (Philippians 4:6, The Message)

Today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday. ~Author Unknown
